Quinta do Portal Auru 2019 - 750ml

Auru is Quinta do Portal's flagship red from the Douro and one of Portugal's most acclaimed wines of the 2019 vintage: 95 points from Robert Parker and 18.5 points from Revista de Vinhos, which named it among the "Best of Portugal". It is made from Touriga Nacional (65%), Tinta Roriz (30%) and Touriga Franca (5%) and aged for 14 months in new French oak barrels. Deep violet in colour, it shows black fruit with a fresh floral lift, spice and a light mineral touch. The palate is impressive and well structured, powerful yet always harmonious, with 14.5% alcohol. Pair it with prime cuts of meat, lamb and strong cheeses. Serve at 13–14 °C and, if possible, open it an hour ahead. Vegan.
