Quinta do Portal
Quinta do Portal is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley. Established as its own brand in 1994, the estate builds on generations of winemaking tradition from the Mansilha Bragança family. The project was designed to combine the Douro’s heritage — birthplace of Port wines — with the production of high-quality still wines that could compete internationally. With vineyards spread across different altitudes and soils, Quinta do Portal cultivates traditional varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca, crafting wines that embody the region’s authenticity. In addition to its renowned Ports, the estate’s reds and whites have earned global acclaim, while its modern winery, designed by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, has become a landmark for wine tourism.
