Tinta Barroca is one of the Douro's traditional grapes, almost always used in blends and rarely bottled on its own. Here it stands alone, with just 3 months in used French oak casks to preserve its fruit. Intense ruby, with vivid fruit that recalls harvest time. The palate is balanced and full, with very round tannins and a marked, fresh and powerful finish, at 16% alcohol. Pair with full-flavoured meats, cheese and pasta. Serve slightly cooler than usual, at 13–14 °C. Vegan.
