Vinho Verde is the Minho region in northern Portugal, famous for light, fresh wines with a gentle spritz. This rosé from Quinta do Portal is made from Touriga Nacional and Espadeiro, a local grape, with just 10.5% alcohol. Pale pink, with lively strawberry and redcurrant and floral touches. The palate is balanced, with pleasant acidity, plenty of fresh fruit and a light sparkle, ending long and delicate. Perfect as a starter and with fish, shellfish and seafood. Serve at 8–10 °C.
